The AbilityOne Advantage
Custodial Services
The AbilityOne Program has been providing high
quality custodial service solutions for the federal
government since our initial custodial service
contract with General Services Administration,
Public Buildings Service, for a federal building
located in Rapid City, SD, which was added to
the Procurement List in August of 1974. This
contract, which is still being performed today,
highlights the fundamental benefit of a long-term
partnership that is available to federal customers
when they choose to work with the AbilityOne
program. AbilityOne now services over 900 federal
custodial service contracts valued at over $509
Million dollars annually.
AbilityOne is thoroughly knowledgeable about
sound environmental practices and our federal
customers rely on us to care for their most precious
assets. When compared to the commercial market
turnover of contracts (200-300%) within the normal
contract cycle, the average length of an AbilityOne
janitorial contract exceeds 10 years.
AbilityOne is currently the largest federal
government janitorial contractor including:
- 41 Air Force bases and Air Reserve locations
- 47
Army bases, arsenals, and depots
- 44 Naval
stations, ship yards and base exchanges,
and seven Naval hospitals
- Seven Marine
Corps bases
