The AbilityOne Advantage

Food Services

At AbilityOne, we pride ourselves on a high level of commitment to quality and quality control by supporting industry best practices and investing in experienced quality professionals. Within our 2,800 existing contracts and 572 national nonprofit agencies (NPAs) you will find an array of quality programs and certifications in place including ISO 9001-2000, Six Sigma, Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen and Malcolm Baldridge.

Additionally, AbilityOne places a high priority on supporting our affiliated NPAs by making industry resources readily available to them. We employ quality control professionals to help support contract management functions including quality control plan development, training and assurance requirement analysis. AbilityOne’s quality resources are available to all of our military and federal customers to support statement of work development as well as to provide assistance in analyzing contractor performance. We can also offer recommendations for process improvement to help drive operational efficiency and improved performance on your contract.

AbilityOne and our NPAs have a commitment to training and development for people with significant disabilities. Each NPA has a background in development and implementation of comprehensive training programs for their workforce, which helps to ensure that each employee is prepared for their role on your contract. Finally, we offer classroom and e-learning training courses for topics such as leadership development, quality management, contract and project management, and rehabilitation and employment best practices.
